The Time I Stole a Discus!
Growing up, our parents were always telling us what we should and should not do, and reinforced those admonitions with sayings that still rattle around in my head to this day. Sayings like "Don't cross your eyes, Paul. They'll get stuck that way!" and "Don't swallow those watermelon seeds. They'll grow in your stomach." Not only did you get plenty of rules at home, you got a fair share of rules given to you at church.

Come on over. We'll have a cup of coffee, and a game of SKIP JACK!
At home, growing up in Camp Wood, Mom and Dad always had the coffee pot on, and friends and relatives dropped by often to have a cup, set on the porch, puff on cigarettes, discuss the local events, and marvel at the strange things that happened in far off places, like Uvalde and Rocksprings, or even way off down to old Hondo.

The BEST Job I Ever Had!

I actually got around to following through on story #1, (much to my Brother's dismay), but have neglected to live up to my promise on story # 2. So here goes.

After the brutal heat of Summer 2011 finally broke, BB, Henri and me ventured back into the trailer and combined Christmas with a West Texas Trip.
