October 15-23, 2013: Houston to the San Antonio Area

On 15-16 October, 2013, we closed on our new (to us) RV.
Houston:  BW8 @ US59
While the technicians were working out the few "bugs" in this unit, we spent our first night on the RV lot underneath the US59 / BW8 interchange in Houston.

Our first "pull" was to get the heck out of Houston, and into the Texas281 RV Park near Bulverde.  This is a nice, shaded, laid-back RV park, composed primarily of permanent residents and a few transients (like me).  BB and I pulled in after dark and our friendly neighbor was happy to help provide pointers on how to unkook since this was my first time to do so.   We stayed there for a week to move all the "pile-o-RV-stuff" from the San Antonio storeroom into the RV, and of course, to make a few trips to Walmart to get stuff we hadn't thought of or didn't have.

Here are a few photos of our new rig. US281 RV PARK

Next, we'll spend some time along the Texas Coast, then back to San Antonio, then Georgetown, then Bastrop, then we'll head west for the Winter.

Till next time!
