A New RV!

Well, after much discussion, research, dreaming and dithering, we finally bought an RV!  (You should always be careful about going to an RV show.)  Initially, we were leaning toward a 5th Wheel rig which, due to it's size and weight, would require the purchase of a new super-duty tow vehicle as well.  Quite an investment considering neither BB or I can guarantee that we will love the RV lifestyle, or that we will use the RV on a regular basis.

Henri, of course, has always been arguing in favor of ANY RV because he's fond of "going", especially if he can poke his nose out the window and let his ear's fly!

At the Austin RV Expo this last weekend, we found a series of smaller, ultra lite travel trailers that could be towed by our existing 1/2 ton pickup or our Surburban.  The one we picked, (the Lance 1685), is a cool trailer, well appointed, with a single slide which makes it feel much roomier when set up.

Here's a couple of pictures of the trailer from the web site.

We hope to pick it up this Friday, then plan on heading out to Fredericksburg for a weekend at the KOA campground!  We'll let you know how things went after the trip.  Hopefully, there will be few if any horror stories.
