We've been full-time RV'ing now for over 7 months. We love the RV life style and hope to keep it up (Good Lord willin' and the creeks don't rise), for many years in the future. For the past several months, BB and I have been debating the merits of whether a 5th wheel RV or a motorcoach fits our current life style best.
There are a million choices out there, and you can chase the perfect RV forever and not catch up to it. We decided that a 5th wheel is ideal for those RV'rs who like to travel, then stay in one place for several months, them move on. Since we are still "newbies" in the RV lifestyle, we have found that staying in one place for more than a month gets tedious. We find ourselves wanting to see new roads; meet new people; see new sights.
Packing, hooking-up and moving a 5th wheel is not necessarily a hard task, but you do have to get out of the tow vehicle often, and your space is limited to the size of the pickup you're driving as you go down the road.
For that reason, we felt that a motor home would be the best option for our lifestyle. After looking at many, many models, we settled on a Newmar Dutch Star, Class A deisel pusher motor home. We think this coach will fit our lifestyle. We'll see.
Here's some pictures of our new home:
