On December 23, 2013, our hiking buds, Fred, Mary Ann and Gibson Hoff, joined Henri, BB and me on a hike around Parker Canyon Lake.
Parker Canyon Lake is located 28 miles southwest of Sierra Vista, about 5 miles from the international border with Mexico, in the south end of the Canelo Hills in Cochise County. It covers about 125 surface acres, has an average depth of 82 feet, and has a surface elevation 5,400 feet. The lake is maintained by the Coronado National Forest Division of the US Forest Service, and is known as one of Arizona's good fishin' holes with Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Sunfish and Channel Catfish.
